A collaboration with Megan Hild, and Greensgrow Farm. When prompted to design a hands-free sink for Greensgrow's farmer's market, Megan and I constrained our selves to a few basic rules: it must be easily reproducible, with readily accessible materials and clear instructions; be a self-contained, freestanding structure so that it could easily be used in different parts of the farm; must be easy to disassemble for compact storage in the off season; and cost less than $150 to produce. The resulting design is powered by a standard garden hose, operated by a simple foot pedal, and completely reproducible. The instruction book can be found here. Feel free to make one for yourself and let us know how it goes.
